Harold Keck
Harold "Hal" Keck (born February 20, 1931 in Fountain Hill ; † January 8, 2007 ) was an American racing driver .
Career
Harold Keck served in the Korean War in the armed forces of the United States and was taken prisoner of war . Between 1959 and 1974 he was active in North American GT and sports car racing . In the mid-1960s he became known as Mister Cobra as he brought almost all of his successes to AC Cobras . In 1965 , together with his partners Jo Schlesser and Bob Johnson, in a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, he won the GT car class over 3 liters at the 2000 km race in Daytona in 1965 , finishing behind Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby ( Ford GT40 ) second overall. In the same year he won the 500-mile race at Watkins Glen .
His only outing in the Sebring 12-hour race ended in 1964 in eighth place overall.
