Heinz Lieven

Heinz Lieven (born April 18, 1928 in Blankenese ) is a German actor .

Life

Lieven was born as the son of the doctor Wilhelm Lieven and his wife Mary Lieven, b. Nather, who came from Riga in 1919 and settled in Hamburg. He began his training as an actor with Helmuth Gmelin and Bernhard Minetti in 1948 in Hamburg and Berlin. In 1966 he married the make-up artist Hertha Lieven, b. Gobrecht. He has two sons, Alexander Lieven (* 1959), former deputy president of the Casino Society in Berlin from 1786, and Claudius Lieven (* 1968), former member of the Hamburg parliament.

He began his stage career in the 1950s at the Hamburger Theater im Zimmer . He then toured Germany with the Morgenstern Bühne and other touring theaters. In the 1960s he was engaged in Karlsruhe , Bruchsal , Baden-Baden , Flensburg and Schleswig and worked in film and television productions by Rolf Hädrich (Count Öderland), Helmut Käutner and Peter Beauvais . In 1971 Boleslaw Barlog brought him to the Schillertheater in Berlin, where he played until 1978. Later he also played at the theater of the Freie Volksbühne a . a. under Kurt Huebner .
