The Helena National Park (English: Helena National Park ) is located 42 kilometers southeast of Mundaring Weir and about 72 kilometers southeast of Perth in Western Australia . The 122.52 kilometer national park can be reached via the Brookton Highway .
From there a road leads to Mount Dale . The mountain is named after the soldier Robert Dale, who was the first European to explore the region in 1829. On the Mount Dale was formerly a fire lookout tower , which is now on the Mount Dale Circuit can hike. There are toilets and picnic facilities on Mount Dale . On the mountain there is a panoramic view over the mountain landscape of the Darling Range and over the valley of the Darkin River . Access to the park up to Mount Dale is possible with normal road vehicles.
The national park is passed by the 965-kilometer Bibbulmun Track , which runs from Albany to Kalamunda .
