Jochen Strodthoff
Jochen Strodthoff (born May 22, 1967 in Bremen ) is a German film and theater actor , director and script consultant.
Life
Jochen Strodthoff completed his acting studies from 1990 to 1994 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with a Master of Arts (MA) degree . Engagements in Ingolstadt and Göttingen followed , then he dissolved his permanent engagement and moved to Munich in 1999 , where he worked as a performer in the independent scene and was a guest at various festivals.
Strodthoff had his first notable theater appearance in 1994 at the Salzburg Festival in the role of a suitor in Die Riesen vom Berge after Luigi Pirandello , directed by Luca Ronconi . He had his first permanent engagement in 1994 at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt , where he played the role of "Caliban" in Der Sturm ( William Shakespeare ) under the direction of Michael Bleiziffer. At the Junge Theater Göttingen he played " Mercutio " in Romeo and Juliet in 1997 (director: Rolf Johannsmeier), " Sid Vicious " in Agnes Giese's production of Sid and Nancy and in 1998 " Karl Moor " in Die Räuber (director: Rolf Johannsmeier) . From 2000 he appeared on well-known stages, including the United Theaters of Bozen , the Schauspielhaus in Vienna and the Schauspiel Frankfurt , and was active in various independent theater projects.
With Judith Al Bakri , he also founded the performance group “ Hunger & Silk ” in 2006 , which is active throughout Germany. For this he works as a producer, director and performer. Stages in his adopted city of Munich, on which he has been seen with the Hunger & Silk collective since 2006, are the TamS , the Pathos Transport Theater , the Schwere Reiter Theater and the Muffathalle . He also directs on German stages. His work has been invited to various theater festivals.
Strodthoff, who also works as an audio book director, completed training as a TV producer with a focus on story development at the Bavarian Academy for Television (BAF) with Wolfgang Kirchner in 2011 and decided to train as a script consultant for many years. Since then he has worked as a freelance film dramaturge for the script consultancy “the human factor”. He is a member of the Association for Film and Television Dramaturgy (VeDRA).
