Joël Prévost

Joël Prévost (real name Jean-Luc Poteau ; born February 16, 1950 in Narbonne ) is a French chanson singer .

Prévost came to Paris in 1970, where he worked as a musical performer; In 1972 he received a recording contract with CBS Records . In 1977 he tried his hand at the French preliminary round of the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson , but without winning. A year later he won the preliminary round and was therefore France's contribution to the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1978 in Paris . With his hit Il ya aura toujours des violons (German: there will always be violins ) he reached third place.

He remained active as a singer until the mid-1980s.
