Julika Jenkins

Julika Jenkins (born October 20, 1971 in Heidelberg ) is a German actress .

Life

Jenkins grew up as the daughter of a Welsh and a German in Heidelberg. She completed an acting training at the Munich Otto Falckenberg School . She made her theatrical debut in 1993 in a production of Moon in the Grass by Robert Wilson at the Münchner Kammerspiele . From 1994 to 1999 Jenkins was a member of the ensemble at Theater am Neumarkt Zurich . There she gave her name to the theater character Jenkins in the play Top Dogs in 1999 when she played the role of project manager Julika Jenkins. From 1999 to 2003 she played at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz in Berlin. This was followed by guest appearances at the Lucerne Theater , the Volksbühne Berlin , the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Schauspielhaus Zürich , where she worked with directors such as Stefan Pucher , Johan Simons and Barbara Frey . In the 2008/2009 season she was seen at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin in a stage adaptation by Lilja 4-ever . In 2010 Julika Jenkins was in a co-production with the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg in a production by Penthesilea .

In Fredi M. Murer's film Vitus , she played the mother of the gifted little boy at the side of Teo Gheorghiu and Bruno Ganz . In 2009, Jenkins was again on the big screen alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo in Un homme et son chien , a remake of the Vittorio De Sica classic Umberto D.
