Kľušov (Hungarian Kolosso - until 1907 Klyussó ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with a population of 1,116 (December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Bardejov , a district of the Prešovský kraj and is part of the traditional Šariš landscape .
geography
The municipality is located in the small basin called Bartošovská kotlina on the southwest slope of the Low Beskydy Mountains in the source area of a tributary of Šibská voda , which flows into the Topľa in Bardejov . The almost 15.4 km² large municipal area is mostly hilly and only sparsely forested. The center of the village is at an altitude of 317 m nm and is seven kilometers from Bardejov and 35 kilometers from Prešov .
Administratively, the municipality is divided into parts of the municipality Kľušov and Kľušovská Zábava .
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1330 as Senvalt and was created at the beginning of the 14th century. In 1427 there are 35 portals in a tax register. Over the centuries, the village belonged to families like Perényi , Zápolya , Bornemisza and Klobusiczky . In 1722 Kľušov burned down completely.
In 1787 there were 75 houses and 542 inhabitants, in 1828 97 houses and 735 inhabitants.
Until 1918, the place in Sharosh County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
