Raslavice (Hungarian Raszlavica ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia . It is located in the upper valley of the Sekčov River , between the towns of Prešov (23 km) and Bardejov (18 km).
The first written mention was made in 1261 as Villa Raslo . Today's municipality was created in 1971 through the merger of the places Nižné Raslavice (up to 1948 in Slovak Uhorské [Hungarian]) and Vyšné Raslavice (until 1948 in Slovak Slovenské Raslavice [in Slovak]).
