Karoli (German Carrol ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse (until 2017 Illuka ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

Description and history

The village has 18 inhabitants (as of 2011). It is 44 km southwest of Narva and six kilometers north of Lake Peipus , right on the Estonian-Russian border .
