Markus Andreas Klauk (born December 8, 1973 in Prüm ) is a German actor .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1993 and training as a paramedic as part of his community service, Klauk studied biology and theater , film and television studies in Cologne . He only followed his passion for the stage, radio and film later. In 1998 he trained as an actor at the Arturo Drama School and finished his training in 2002.

He has been teaching acting himself since 2005, including at the Folkwang University and the International Academy for Film Acting in Cologne.

Markus Andreas Klauk lives in Cologne . He is a member of the BFFS .

He received theater engagements at the Landestheater Marburg , the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and the Schauspiel Köln . He played u. a. Tarragon in Waiting for Godot , Christian in Das Fest , Malvolio in What you want and Richard III. in the drama of the same name by William Shakespeare . He also played Die Hundsprozesse in 2011 under the direction of the Danish theater group Signa , an adaptation of Kafka's novel The Trial at the Cologne Theater. Also directed by Signa he played in 2013 at the Volksbühne Berlin , the piece Club Inferno , an adaptation of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy .

Movie and TV

He got episode and episode leading roles in various television series, including in SOKO Cologne , SOKO Wismar , Kommissar Stolberg , Danni Lowinski , Die Chefin , Alarm für Cobra 11 , Wilsberg and Helen Dorn . He took on his first major role in 2006 in the telenovela Rote Rosen , in which he played Thorsten Fischer for over 100 episodes. 2008–2010 he played in the web series Jabhook by Daniel Rakete Siegel and Christopher Becker at the side of Daniel Wiemer and Hans Martin Stier . In the cinema he was seen in Oliver Hirschbiegel's film The Experiment as a warden stick, his first ever production as an actor. Klauk was also seen in image films and advertising. In 2017 he shot a prank for the Bundesliga winter break .

2012 Short Playtime celebrated ( playing time ) as a competition entry of the Sundance Film Festival world premiere, and was one of 64 films were selected from 7,675 submissions, and in addition to the short documentary Into the Middle of Nowhere the only German Post 2012. Time was nominated for the “Best International Short Film” category. In this film, Klauk played the role of Andy. In 2005 he started working as a speaker, for audio books, computer games, advertising and dubbing; since 2011 as a permanent member of the WDR voting unit . You can usually hear him on TV. In 2009 Klauk founded Die Hörtheatrale together with Daniel Sempf and produces live radio plays. The ensemble has various Sherlock Holmes novels and other novels of the Victorian era, u. a. Dracula , brought to the stage live in its own radio play version. In June 2013, however, Klauk separated from Sempf. As the owner of the “Die Hörtheatrale” brand, he sold the name and rights of use to Sempf. Furthermore, Klauk can be heard again and again in various radio play productions.
