Kronach (colloquially: "Grōnach") is a district of the independent city of Fürth in Middle Franconia .
geography
The village is located in the northern urban area. The Frankenschnellweg runs past the village to the west . In addition to Poppenreuth , Kronach is one of 7 districts in Fürth that are located in the Franconian vegetable growing region of Knoblauchsland . Immediately to the east of the village flows the Bucher Landgraben, which is a left tributary of the Gründlach . Municipal roads lead to Bislohe (1 km north), to Ronhof (0.4 km south-east) and to Stadeln to state road 2242 (1.9 km north-west).
history
In 1225 the place was mentioned as "Kranach" in a document signed by Emperor Heinrich VII . The place name is derived from an identical field name, which is based on the Old High German word "kran" (= juniper bush ) with the collective suffix "-ach" attached. The derivation from a water body name is also conceivable.
In 1732 Kronach merged with Ronhof to form a real community .
At the end of the 18th century there were 5 properties in Kronach. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf , which was contested by the imperial city of Nuremberg . The Landpflegamt Nürnberg was in charge of the village and community . The landlords were the state alms office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (2 quarter yards) the Nuremberg owners of Holzschuher (2 half yards) and von Volckamer (1 half yard). In 1801 there were 4 households in the village.
As part of the community edict, Kronach was assigned to the tax district and rural community of Buch formed in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818), Kronach was re-incorporated into the newly formed Ronhof rural community . In voluntary jurisdiction, 2 properties were subordinate to the Almoshof Patrimonial Court from 1822 to 1834 and 1 property to the Bubenreuth Patrimonial Court from 1820 to 1838 .
The Bavarian original cadastre shows Kronach in the 1810s as a hamlet with five hearths.
The Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal , completed in 1843, ran past the village, to the north of the village there was lock 81 Kronach. Position In the 1950s the operation was given up, the canal was filled up and in the 1960s it was reshaped with the federal motorway 73 (Frankenschnellweg) opened in 1972 . The district west of the autobahn is now part of Stadeln .
After many years of negotiations with the city, on July 1, 1927, together with Ronhof, it was incorporated into Fürth.
