La Vendelée is a French municipality with 464 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Manche in the region Normandy (before 2016 Basse-Normandie ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Coutances and the canton of Coutances (until 2015 canton of Saint-Malo-de-la-Lande ). The inhabitants are called Vendeléens .

La Vendelée is located near the Atlantic coast on the Cotentin peninsula , about four kilometers north-northwest of Coutances am Ay . La Vendelée is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gouville sur Mer (with Servigny ) in the north and northwest, Saint-Sauveur-Villages (with Ancteville ) in the north, Monthuchon in the east, Gratot in the south and southwest and Brainville in the west.
