District Court Bamberg I
The Bamberg I Regional Court , also known as the Bamberg Regional Court on the right bank of the Regnitz , was an older Bavarian regional court with its seat in Bamberg, which existed from 1803 to 1879 . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .
history
In 1803, the Bamberg I district court was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . After the establishment of the Kingdom of Bavaria, this was added to the Main District , whose capital was initially Bamberg .
The district court Bamberg I was formed from areas that were part of the Bamberg bishopric before the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss (only the Gunzendorf office was not Bamberg). These were:

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, two local courts were established in Bamberg. The regional courts of the older order of Bamberg I and Bamberg II were merged to form the Bamberg II district court. However, a distinction was still made between two sub-districts, Bamberg II district court, first part (eastern half) and Bamberg II district court, second part (western half). The city of Bamberg, which is directly in the district, formed the Bamberg I District Court from 1879 onwards. In 1903, these two district courts were combined to form the Bamberg District Court .
