Lendak (German Landeck , Hungarian Lándok - until 1902 Landok ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia , with 5352 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and one of the largest non-urban communities in the country in terms of population.
geography
The municipality is located in the northwest part of the Popradská kotlina basin at the foot of the Belianske Tatras and Spis Magura , 3 km from Tatranská Kotlina , a district of Vysoké Tatry (the center is 19 km away) and 17 km from Kežmarok . Lendak is just outside the borders of the Tatra National Park .
