history
Unlike many other places in the area, today's community emerged relatively late: the base was a mill in the town of Käsmark in the 18th century, to which an inn was added. Immigrants from Ždiar settled in the 19th century . In 1881 a sanatorium was founded here.
In 1956 the place Mlynčeky became an independent municipality by hiving off Kežmarok.
