Hradisko (German Kuntschhöfchen or Kundschepchen , Hungarian Kisvár - until 1907 Hradiszkó ) is a municipality in northern Slovakia with 98 inhabitants (December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Kežmarok , part of the Prešovský kraj and is counted as part of the traditional Spiš landscape .
geography
The community is located in the western part of the Leutschauer Berge in a narrow valley in the source area of the Durand brook ( Poprad river system ). The center of the village lies at an altitude of 830 m nm and is 14 kilometers away from Kežmarok .
Neighboring municipalities are Tvarožná in the north-west and north (plus the cadastral municipality Ruskinovce ), Levoča in the east and south-east (plus the cadastral municipality Dvorce ), Dlhé Stráže in the south and Vlkovce in the west.
history
Hradisko was first mentioned in writing as Vizoka in 1264 ; later names are villa Friderici (1317), Friderichsdorff (1328), Hradys-cze (1598), Kuniszhoffchen (1667) and Hradiszko (1773). The village belonged to the rulership of the city of Leutschau and was always one of the smallest villages in the ruled area: in 1598, for example, there were only seven houses.
In 1787 there were 18 houses and 111 inhabitants and in 1828 21 houses and 159 inhabitants, who were mainly employed in agriculture.
Until 1918 the place in Zips County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. The first church was completed in 1944, electrification did not occur until the 1960s.

According to the 2011 census, 101 residents lived in Hradisko, all of whom were Slovaks and members of the Roman Catholic Church.
