Lisa Oed (born January 2, 1999 in Rüsselsheim , Hessen ) is a German athlete who competes in obstacle , cross and mountain runs, as well as medium and long-distance runs as well as marathons . She occasionally competes in duathlon and triathlon competitions for compensation and training .

career path

Lisa Oed graduated from high school in 2016 as a G8 student at the Claus-von-Stauffenberg-Schule , a high school in Dudenhofen , and then began studying biochemistry .

After two semesters at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt , Oed moved to the Mississippi State University in Starkville . She then switched to studying medicine there and returned to Germany.

Athletic career

Oed joined LG Rodgau at the age of three and competed in her first runs in 2002 at the age of four. In 2007 she moved to VfL Münster and increasingly focused on the triathlon . She competed in her first triathlon when she was eight. In 2008 she moved to SSC Hanau-Rodenbach .

In 2010, Oed took part in their first Hessian cross-country championships and took first place in both the individual and the team.

In 2011 she became the Hessian Duathlon Vice Champion.

In 2012 Oed u. a. the Hessian championships in duathlon and triathlon and won the overall ranking of the junior cup of the Hessian Triathlon Association .

In 2013 she won bronze in the youth country comparison with the team of the B-Jugend Oed and fought for 15th place after she fell on the bike course. At the German Youth and Junior Championships of the DTU in the Black Forest , she came in 15th place in the B-Youth.

In 2014 Oed won bronze at the German U16 championships in the 3000 meter run . A few days later she won the Rodgau Triathlon. Then, when she was 15, she decided to focus on running .

In 2015 she took bronze again, this time over 1500 meters at the German Youth Championships (U18) .

In 2016, Oed became German U18 cross-country runner-up on a 4.5 km course. At the German Youth Championships she won the U18 title over 3000 meters and was runner-up in the 1500 meter obstacle course. On August 7th she became German U20 mountain running champion in Schwangau as part of the Tegelberglauf with the team , to which she contributed with a 3rd place in the individual on the 8 km distance. With this, Oed had secured participation in the mountain running world championships in Saparewa Banja ( Bulgaria ), where she was the mountain running U20 vice world champion with the team on the 3.5 km course. At the end of the year she was able to become vice European champion with the U20 cross-country team in Chia .

In 2017 Oed started in the indoor season and was able to become German Vice Hall University Champion over 3000 meters in Frankfurt-Kalbach and German U20 indoor champion in Sindelfingen . A little later she became German U20 cross-country champion on a 4.36 km course in Löningen . After she had won the Rodgau Duathlon in March, she took second place at the German Junior Duathlon Championships in Alsdorf and thus secured her first podium in the German Triathlon Union . Internationally, Oed won two gold medals. On a course over 4.4 kilometers she became U20 European mountain running champion in Kamnik and only two weeks later in Grosseto with personal bests in the run-up and final U20 European champion over 3000 meters obstacle. At the German Youth Championships (U20) in Ulm , Oed won over 3000 meters and 2000 meters obstacle.

In 2018, Oed was German U20 indoor runner-up over 3000 meters in the indoor season . In mid-March she was able to become German U20 cross-country champion again in Ohrdruf and get bronze with the team. In May, the 3rd  long running night in Karlsruhe was very successful for Oed: In a very fast 5000 meter race , she ran the Hessian record with a time of 16: 09.34 min. In the older age group she became German U23 runner-up in the 3000 m obstacle course at the beginning of July . Internationally, Oed took 8th place over this distance in mid-July at the U20 World Championships in Tampere ( Finland ) as the best European in a personal best of 9: 57.45 minutes. This time is remarkable, as no other German U20 athlete except Gesa Krause (in 2011) had managed to stay below the 10-minute mark in the 3,000-meter obstacle course. In Rostock it was early August its title as German Junior Champion (U20) 3000 Meters defend in and over 2000 m steeplechase German Youth Vice Champion (U20) are. On September 1st, Oed became German mountain running champion in Ilsenburg on a course of 11.7 km as part of the Brockenlauf and took second place in the team classification. Two weeks later she was in Canillo ( Andorra ) on a 7.4 km mountain run U20 runner-up world champion and finished sixth with the U20 team. Oed completed the very successful year by participating in the New York City Marathon at the beginning of November, where she made her marathon debut as the 32nd woman and the fastest German to finish in 2:52:16 hours. Already one week later, Oed standings U23 qualifying with a victory in the Cross Pforzheim for the European Cross Country Championships in the Dutch Tilburg , where she finished in 23rd place in the singles and the 8th place with the team.

In 2019, Oed became German university hall champion over 3000 meters at the beginning of February. In March she was able to become German U23 cross-country runner-up on a 5.1 km distance in Ingolstadt . In mid-June she finished 5th in the German U23 championships in the 3000 meter obstacle course. On June 19th, the Federal Running Committee of the German Athletics Association (DLV) appointed Oed to the German team for the European Mountain Running Championships in Zermatt ( Switzerland ), where on July 7th they finished fourth with the team and ninth in the individual occupied. At the end of August, she achieved 5th place at the German University Championship in the sprint triathlon. In mid-September, Oed was U23 runner-up at the German 10 km road running championships in Siegburg , which means 6th place in the women's ranking . At the end of November she took part in the German University Cross-Country Championship in Darmstadt and reached second place with the team and 8th place in the individual.

In spring 2020 she went to her second high-altitude training camp. From 2400  meters above sea level in Iten in ( Kenya ) it then goes to Potchefstroom in ( South Africa ).

Oed is part of the perspective squad of the German Athletics Association (DLV).

Club affiliations

Lisa Oed has been with SSC Hanau-Rodenbach since 2008 . In 2001 she joined LG Rodgau and in 2007 switched to VfL Münster . At VfL Münster, for which she still occasionally competes in duathlon or triathlon competitions as a compensation and as a training unit, a team of coaches led by Andreas Kropp looks after the athletes in the individual sports.

family

Lisa Oed comes from an active family, her parents took part in running and triathlon competitions as amateur athletes . Her mother Anja is an experienced athletics trainer and her brother Tobias is a multiple national champion in running and duathlon .

Honors

As the best young female runner of 2018, Oed was recognized for her extraordinary achievements and national and international successes at the annual German Road Races conference .
