The list of stumbling blocks on Lake Garda, in Gavardo and Sarezzo contains the stumbling blocks that were laid by the Cologne artist Gunter Demnig in Gardone Riviera , Salò , Gavardo and Sarezzo . These municipalities are located in the province of Brescia in the Italian region of Lombardy . Stumbling blocks remind of the fate of the people who were murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide by the National Socialists . As a rule, they are in front of the victim's last self-chosen place of residence. The first installations in the region took place on November 23, 2012 in Brescia . The Italian translation of the term stumbling blocks is: pietre d'inciampo .
