Pesia Fajga Lewinter , called Francesca, was born on July 4th, 1900 in Bresina , in Upper Silesia . She was the daughter of Samuele Lewinter.

Her husband David Zimet, born on April 25, 1889, originally came from Vienna , where he worked as a trader. From the beginning of 1941 the couple were interned together in Sinalunga . This meant that the two could move freely within the town limits, but were not allowed to leave Sinalunga without official approval.

Their daughter Lucia was born on February 7, 1943. In the same year, on November 2, 1943, Pesia Fajga Lewinter's husband died in the hospital in Sinalunga and was buried in the local cemetery. The newborn daughter Lucia also died a few months after the birth. In December 1943, the widow Pesia Fajga Lewinter was informed of her impending deportation to Siena , the capital of the province. On December 28, she was presented with an arrest warrant.

There is no further information about the whereabouts of Pesia Fajga Lewinter.
