The list of stumbling blocks in Meina and Stresa contains the stumbling blocks in Meina and Stresa in the Italian region of Piedmont , which commemorate 17 victims of National Socialism . In the course of the massacre on Lake Maggiore between September 22 and 24, 1943, 16 guests of the Meina Hotel were murdered. In Stresa, an Italian soldier who refused to fight for the National Socialists was deported to a concentration camp.
