Louis L. Collins

Louis Loren Collins (born October 6, 1882 in St. Cloud , Minnesota , †  June 24, 1950 ) was an American politician . Between 1921 and 1925 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Minnesota.

Career

After studying law and being admitted to the bar, Louis Collins began working in this profession. He also worked in the newspaper industry. During World War I he served in the United States Army . Politically, he joined the Republican Party . In 1924 he was a substitute delegate to the Republican National Convention , where President Calvin Coolidge was nominated for re-election.

In 1920 Collins was elected Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota alongside JAO Preus . He held this office between 1921 and 1925. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After that, he no longer appeared politically. He died on June 24, 1950 in his hometown of St. Cloud.
