William H. Yale

William Hall Yale (born November 12, 1831 in New Haven , Connecticut , †  January 25, 1917 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) was an American politician . Between 1870 and 1874 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Minnesota.

Career

After studying law and admission to the bar, William Yale began practicing the profession in Minnesota. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . In 1867 and from 1876 to 1877 he was a member of the Minnesota Senate .

In 1869 he was elected lieutenant governor of his state alongside Horace Austin . He held this office between 1870 and 1874. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. He later served as Marshal of the State Supreme Court . He died on January 25, 1917 in Saint Paul, where he was also buried.
