Lyndon A. Smith

Lyndon Ambrose Smith (born July 15, 1854 in Boscawen , Merrimack County , New Hampshire , †  March 4, 1918 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) was an American politician . Between 1899 and 1903 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Minnesota.

Career

Lyndon Smith began working in the profession after graduating from law school and admitted to the bar. At an unknown time, he came to Montevideo , Minnesota, where he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . In 1898 he was elected Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, alongside John Lind . He held this office between 1899 and 1903. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . From 1901 he served under the new governor Samuel Rinnah Van Sant . From 1912 until his death in 1918, he served as Attorney General for the Minnesota Attorney General .
