Thomas Frankson

Thomas Frankson (born September 16, 1869 in Fillmore County , Minnesota , †  June 8, 1939 in Saint Paul , Minnesota) was an American politician . Between 1917 and 1921 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Minnesota.

Career

Thomas Frankson attended public schools in his home country including high school. After a subsequent law degree and his admission as a lawyer in 1900, he began to work in this profession. He also worked in the real estate industry. Politically, he became a member of the Republican Party . Between 1911 and 1914 he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives , where he served on several committees.

In 1916 Frankson was elected lieutenant governor of Minnesota alongside Joseph AA Burnquist . He held this office between 1917 and 1921. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he was no longer politically active. He died on June 8, 1939 in Saint Paul.
