The place was destroyed in the Hussite and Peasants' War , under Margrave Albrecht Alcibiades, and in the Thirty Years' and Seven Years' War . After secularization in favor of Bavaria in the Prussian-Bavarian state comparison in 1803, the office of the Hochstift Bamberg fell to the Principality of Bayreuth , with which France became part of the Treaty of Tilsit in 1807. In 1810, Bavaria received the principalities of Bayreuth and Berchtesgaden and the Principality of Regensburg through another treaty with France . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
