Malaja Dubrowka ( Russian Малая Дубровка , German Bratricken , 1938–1946 Brahetal ) is a place in Osjorsk Rajon ( Darkehmen district , Angerapp district , 1938–1946 ) in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Novostrojewskoje selsindeeje (Landgemeinde Novostrojewo ( Trempen )).

Geographical location

Malaja Dubrowka is located in the northwest of the district capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ), one kilometer northeast of Novostrojewo ( Trempen ), not far from the side road from Novostrojewo to Swoboda ( Jänischken , 1938–1946 Jänichen ) on the Russian highway A 197 (former German Reichsstrasse 139 ).

history

Bratricken had 187 inhabitants in 1818, their number increased to 201 by 1863 and 1607 in 1907. On May 23, 1925, a new rural community was formed from parts of the manor district of Jurgaitschen (1938–1946 Jürgenfelde , since 1946: Judino), which until 1945 became the district of Jurgaitschen (1939–1945 district of Jürgenfelde ) in the Darkehmen district (1938 Angerapp district , 1939– 1945 Landkreis Angerapp ) in the administrative district Gumbinnen belonged to the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On October 28, 1926, parts of the rural community Potkehmen (1938-1946 Puttkammer , from 1946: Lebedjewo) and on December 3, 1927 parts of the Jurgaitschen manor district were reclassified into the rural community Bratricken, which was able to expand: in 1933 it had 240 inhabitants, in 1939 still 210. On June 3, 1938, Bratricken was given the new name “Brahetal” for political and ideological reasons.

As a result of the Second World War , the whole of northern East Prussia and with it Uhlenhorst came under Soviet administration, and in 1946 it was given the Russian name "Malaja Dubrowka". Until 2009, the place was incorporated into the Novostrojewski soviet (Dorfsovjet Novostrojewo ( Trempen )), then came - due to a structural and administrative reform in the since 1991/92 Russian Oblast Kaliningrad - as a "settlement" (possjolok) classified place to Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Novostrojewo) in Osjorsk district .

church

The village of Bratricken / Brahetal, with its mostly Protestant population, was part of the parish of Trempen (since 1946: Nowostrojewo) until 1945 . It belonged to the Darkehmen church district (1938–1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Karl Murach .

During the time of the Soviet Union , church life came to a standstill due to a state ban. It was not until the 1990s that new Protestant congregations formed again in the Kaliningrad Oblast. Malaja Dubrowka is located in the catchment area of the Chernyakhovsk community ( Insterburg ) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
