Butterfield nature reserve
The Butterfeld nature reserve is a 5.66 hectare nature reserve (NSG) southeast of Elkeringhausen in the urban area of Winterberg . In 2008 the area was designated as an NSG by the Hochsauerlandkreis in the Winterberg landscape plan .
description
The NSG covers the southern part of a fallow former forest pasture area of the Glindfelder Forest. The area was used as pasture until the 1980s. The area is mainly covered with gorse and a few bushes of other species. According to the NSG designation, large parts of the NSG will be grazed again.
