The Ronsfeld nature reserve is a 9.82 hectare nature reserve south of Elkeringhausen in the city of Winterberg . In 2008 the area was designated as an NSG by the Hochsauerlandkreis in the Winterberg landscape plan .

description

The NSG includes the valley basin in which the Burmecke rises with its grassland. The grassland is mostly grazed with cattle . In addition to wet grassland on the Burmecke, there are poor pastures on the northern slope of the valley in the NSG. Partly on the eastern edge of the forest the Alte Grimme is included in the NSG.

Protection purpose

The NSG is supposed to protect stream, grassland and forest with its species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
