The nature reserve Talmulde am Eggenberg is a 13.36 hectare nature reserve north of Siedlinghausen in the urban area of Winterberg . In 2008 the area was designated as an NSG by the Hochsauerlandkreis in the Winterberg landscape plan . The NSG is located north of the Eggenberg.

Area description

It includes the valleys of a nameless tributary stream of the negroes . The grassland is mostly grazed with cattle . The stream rises in an extensive source area in an ash forest and a wet red spruce stand .

Protection purpose

The nature reserve was designated for the preservation and development of a forest area and grassland and as a habitat for endangered animal and plant species. As with other nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area became a nature reserve “because of its scenic beauty and uniqueness”.
