Oberalsen was a village in the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms the southern part of Als .

Oberalsen lies on the Leuscheid . Neighboring towns are Niederalsen and Schneppe only Leuscheid in the northeast and Werfen in the northwest. Alsen can be reached via the state road 147 .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Leuscheid and at times to the mayor's office of Herchen .

In 1830 Aalsen had 160 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet of Oberalsen had 47 residents in ten houses. 28 of them were Catholic and 19 Protestant.

In 1888 Oberalsen had fifty residents in eleven houses.

65 people lived here in 1962 and 74 in 1976.
