International qualification tournament

From June 20 to 21, 2020, twelve teams will play for the last two quota places. The runner-up and third-placed finishers in each continental qualifying tournament will take part in this tournament. Since the team from South Africa decided not to participate in Tokyo, Kenya got the quota place for Africa as runner-up. That is why Tunisia, fourth in the African Championship, alongside Madagascar, is allowed to participate in this tournament as the second African representative. The French city of Biarritz has applied to host the tournament.
