The Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team was a Dutch cycling team based in Rucphen .
history
The team was founded in 2005 under the name Fondas Imabo-Doorisol . In 2006, P3Transfer stepped in as a sponsor for Doorisol, and it operated under the name Fondas-P3Transfer until the end of the 2006 season . In 2008 the name changed to P3 Transfer-Batavus . From its inception, the team initially had a UCI license as a Continental Team and mainly participated in races on the UCI Europe Tour . Since 2009 the team has been running under the name of the main sponsor Vacansoleil and has a license as a Professional Continental Team . Vacansoleil is a camping tour operator with mobile homes on European campsites with headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands and a German office in Kempen.
In the 2009 season, the team won a stage through Borut Božič in the 6th stage of the Vuelta a España . In the 2010 season, the team was able to achieve some successes and was also successful outside of Europe. Particularly noteworthy is the view of the Qatar Tour this year by Wouter Mol, who also won five of the six stages there.
For the 2011 season, the team received a UCI ProTeam license. The team was able to take part in all three Grand Tours , but missed a stage win on all three country tours . However, some victories at Paris – Nice and the Tour de Suisse were achieved. In its first year after the upgrade, the team was able to prove that it can compete in this class. 2012 wasn't too successful for the Dutch team. With one stage win at the Giro d'Italia and three at Paris – Nice , the team was able to win a few stages of important races, but overall fewer wins were achieved than in the previous season. The team was not very successful in the following year either. Again, fewer victories were achieved than in previous years. In the UCI World Tour 2013 , the team could not achieve any major successes and ended the season on the bottom of the rankings.
After the loss of both main sponsors, the team was dissolved at the end of the 2013 season. The sporting director Hilaire van der Schueren takes over the management of the Accent Jobs-Wanty team in 2014 and takes over some of the drivers from his previous team.
