Regional growth core

A regional growth core (RWK) is a region that is particularly supported in selected economic sectors by the state government of Brandenburg .

history

With the abandonment of the old economic promotion based on the watering can principle , the Brandenburg state government began to realign the promotion in 2004. In the future, only sustainable sectors that had already gained a foothold in the individual regions of Brandenburg and promised strong growth potential should be funded. For this purpose, 15 regional growth centers were created with the involvement of 26 cities and municipalities and the sectors of expertise eligible for funding were defined for each.
