Journeys and country descriptions from the older and more recent times, a collection of the most interesting works on country and state, geography and statistics is a German-language book series with travel and country descriptions from the mid- 19th century . It was edited by Eduard Widenmann and Hermann Hauff and appeared in Stuttgart and Tübingen by Cotta in the years 1835–1860.
