Career
Zuninos first Formula 1 race was the Canadian Grand Prix in the 1979 season for the Brabham team. Zuninio only got into the car because the then two-time Austrian World Champion Niki Lauda announced his retirement after the first training session. Lauda came back in 1982 and became world champion again two years later. By the end of the 1980 season , Zunino started eight times for Brabham. After two more races for the Tyrrell team in the following season, he ended his Formula 1 career with a final start at the 1981 Argentina Grand Prix .
His best placement in a total of ten Formula 1 races was seventh place twice, so he did not achieve a championship point.
