Schwarzbach ( Upper Sorbian Čorna Woda ) is a municipality in the south of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in the state of Brandenburg and part of the Ruhland office .

geography

The community is located about 10 kilometers south of Senftenberg . It is located in the Lusatian Lakeland , south of Lake Senftenberg . Schwarzbach is located in north-western Upper Lusatia . The Schwarze Elster flows through the district of Biehlen .

The inhabited part of the municipality Biehlen belongs to the municipality of Schwarzbach .

history

Schwarzbach was first mentioned in 1455.

Schwarzbach had belonged to the Hoyerswerda district in the Prussian province of Silesia since 1816 . Since the district was west of the Oder-Neisse line , it became part of the Soviet occupation zone in 1945 and incorporated into the state of Saxony . In 1950 the community moved to the Senftenberg district in the state of Brandenburg. In 1952 Schwarzbach came to the newly founded Senftenberg district in the GDR - Cottbus district (1990–1993 in the state of Brandenburg). Since the district reform in 1993 , the community has been in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district.

In 1974 the communities of Biehlen and Guteborn were incorporated into the community of Schwarzbach, the latter was removed from the community on May 6, 1990.

Theiss was elected in the mayoral election on May 26, 2019 with 67.8% of the valid votes for a further term of five years without a candidate.

Sights and culture

In the list of architectural monuments in Schwarzbach (Lausitz) and in the list of ground monuments in Schwarzbach (Lausitz) are the monuments entered in the list of monuments of the state of Brandenburg. Schwarzbach has its own "village anthem", the "Schwarzbachlied".

Buildings

In Schwarzbach there is a manor house that was built around 1650. In front of it there is a war memorial for the fallen of the First World War.

  • Village and rifle festival on the first weekend in September
    • with village theater
  • Official singers' meeting: Since April 29, 2000, the choirs of the Ruhland Office have been inviting each year to a joint concert. The Mixed Choir Schwarzbach has previously hosted the official singers' meetings in 2000, 2005, 2011 and 2016.

Schwarzenbach lies on the national road L 581 between Ruhland and Lauta . The closest motorway junction is Ruhland on the A 13 Berlin - Dresden .

The Schwarzbach stop (b Ruhland) was on the Węgliniec – Roßlau railway line and trains pass through it without stopping.

There is a Category II commercial airfield in the nearby Schwarzheide .
