In 2013, Vögele caused a sensation at the Charleston tournament when she stormed into the semi-finals with victories over Julia Görges and Caroline Wozniacki and only had to admit defeat to Jelena Janković after three sets . At the French Open she reached the third round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time and on November 11, 2013 with 42nd place, her highest ranking in the individual world rankings.

The 2014 season began with a quarter-finals at the WTA tournament in Brisbane , after which it was in the second round at the Australian Open . She also reached round two at the French Open . However, it was not until July that she was able to celebrate two wins in a row on the WTA Tour (quarter-finals at the tournament in Bad Gastein and semi-finals at the tournament in Baku ). In October she reached the quarter-finals in Linz .

Vögele's best result in 2015 was the semi-final qualification at the end of the season in Luxembourg . She also reached the quarter-finals at the Challenger tournament in Taipei . Over the course of the season, Vögele slipped out of the top 100 in the world rankings and ended the year in 122nd place.

In 2016, Vögele won the ITF tournament in Andrézieux-Bouthéon . She achieved her best result on the WTA Tour with a semi-final qualification at the Istanbul Cup and also reached the quarter-finals at the tournaments in Kaohsiung and Tashkent .

Vögele started the 2017 season for the third time in a row at the WTA tournament in Shenzhen . She then reached the second round at the Australian Open . At the Ladies' Trophy in St. Petersburg , she survived the qualification, but then had to give up due to a wrist injury and forfeit most of the rest of the season. At the US Open , she made her first comeback attempt, but had to give up in the second round of qualification. The second comeback attempt took place a month later in Tashkent , where they at least made it to the quarter-finals.
