Stein is a district of the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today he belongs to Schladern.

Stein lies in a victory loop between Schladern and Dattenfeld . The neighboring town to the west was Gauchel .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 stone was mentioned as a farm.

In 1845 the hamlet had 18 Catholic residents in three houses. In 1863 there were 24 residents. In 1888 there were 28 residents in four houses.

The old part of the village was at the level of Elmore's factory on today's victory breakthrough. The name was transferred to more northern houses.

In 1962 57 people lived here and in 1976 23 people.
