Map with all coordinates: The student path is a hiking trail that connects the four university cities of Göttingen , Kassel , Marburg and Gießen . In the 31 km long section from Göttingen to Hann. Münden it is identical to the European long-distance hiking trail E6 . From Hann. Münden it continues along the Fulda to Kassel. Further stations are Wolfhagen, Waldeck, Bad Wildungen, Haina (monastery), Marburg and Gießen.
Marking and guidance
The student path is one of the "through hiking trails " of the North Hessian hiking clubs under the leadership of the Hessisch-Waldeckischer Gebirgs- und Heimatverein and is uniformly marked by a white St. Andrew's cross X and - where appropriate - with the path number "13" ( X13 ) as a signpost .
The route is constantly adapted to the changing conditions, as local sections of the path are no longer passable due to forestry measures, defective footbridges and landslides. The actually marked course therefore does not match the course shown on the hiking maps in individual cases .
Depending on the variant, the route is between 240 and 253 kilometers.
