TMC Monte Carlo is a French-speaking television broadcaster . Originally from Monaco , it can now be received throughout France .

The station was founded in 1954, making it the first private broadcaster in Europe. Until 2010, the station was held 40% by TF1 and the AB Groupe and 20% by the Principality of Monaco . In 2010, TF1 bought the shares in AB Groupe, and on June 9, 2016, the shares in the Principality of Monaco were also taken over. Since then, Groupe TF1 has been the sole owner of TMC.
