Trevor Lewis (born January 8, 1987 in Salt Lake City , Utah ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League since 2007 . The Kings won the attacker in the years 2012 and 2014 the Stanley Cup .
Career
Trevor Lewis began his career as a hockey player with the Des Moines Buccaneers, for whom he was active in the United States Hockey League from 2004 to 2006 . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2006 in the first round as a total of 17th player by the Los Angeles Kings . For the 2006/07 season, the attacker moved to Owen Sound Attack in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League , where he came in parallel to ten missions for the Manchester Monarchs from the American Hockey League . In the 2007/08 season , the former international junior was only on the ice for the Monarchs in the AHL, for which he scored twelve goals in 80 games and provided 16 templates. In the 2008-09 season he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Los Angeles Kings. In his first NHL season, the American scored one goal in six games and gave two assists.
As a result, Lewis established himself in the Kings line-up and won the Stanley Cup in the 2012 playoffs . He was then able to repeat this success with the team in 2014 .
International
For the USA Lewis took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2007 , where he finished third with his team. In 2015 he also made his senior debut and won the bronze medal at the World Championships .
