Location of the city

Víznar is a municipality in the province of Granada , Spain , a few kilometers from the city of Granada. According to the 2005 census, the city has a population of 980 inhabitants on an area of ​​13 km². The highest point is 1050 m high.

history

Here is the classicist summer palace of the Archbishop of Granada from the 18th century, Don José Manuel Moscoso y Peralta (1723–1811), an important figure in the history of Peru.

The famous poet Federico García Lorca (1898–1936) was murdered in 1936 near Víznar between the city and Alfacar .
