Alfacar is a municipality in Spain about nine kilometers north of Granada in the Andalusia region. It is located in the fertile plains of Granada ( Vega de Granada ) at 910 m above sea level at the foot of the Sierra de Huetor nature reserve . Alfacar is particularly known for its many springs and its good bread.

In addition to the favorable starting point for attractions in the near and far, there are also good opportunities for hiking, climbing and gliding. The distance to the Sierra Nevada ski area is 38 km and the sea is 75 km.
