Láchar is a municipality in the province of Granada in south-eastern Spain . The place is in the valley of the Genil , the most important left tributary of the Guadalquivir. In addition, the Noniles and the mouth of the Rio Cubillas are also in the catchment area of ​​the village. In the floodplain, in addition to industry and construction, due to the fertile soil ( Vega de Granada ), agriculture continues to be an important branch of business. The place is located directly on the A-92 road, 20 km west of Granada . The Mediterranean Sea to the south is 50 km away.
