Wüstendorf (colloquially: Wī ə stndorf ) is a district of the market Lehrberg in the district of Ansbach ( Middle Franconia ).

The hamlet is located on the Wernsbach, which flows together with the Zellbach (left) to the Rippach, which is a left tributary of the Haselbach , and on the Kohlbach, which flows into the Wernsbach as a right tributary. The forest areas Berlach and Rehlesholz border in the east . Approx. The firewoods lie 0.75 km to the northwest .

Municipal roads lead to Gödersklingen to state road 2255 (1.7 km northwest) or to Schmalach also to St 2255 (1.4 km west), past the Alexandermühle to Wernsbach to the district road AN 10 (2 km southeast) and to Moratneustetten (2 km northeast).

history

The place was first mentioned in the Würzburger Lehenbuch from 1317 as "Wustendorf". From the place name it can be deduced that the settlement was founded in an undeveloped, desert place (see also Wüstenbruck ).

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties in Wüstendorf (1 courtyard, 6 goods, 1 empty house ). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . The Ansbach Abbey Office held village and community rulership and land lordship over all properties . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Wüstendorf was assigned to the Brünst tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Brünst, founded in 1811 . In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Lehrberg on January 1, 1978.

The place has been Protestant since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Johannes (Wernsbach near Ansbach) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to Christ König (Ansbach) .
