history
The local nobility of the nobles von Erringen had their seat here in the 12th and 13th centuries. They are mentioned several times as ministerials of the Augsburg bishopric. Around 1300 they gave up their episcopal fiefdom again. In 1460, the Augsburg Cathedral Monastery acquired the court and other goods as a fief from the Augsburg Monastery and set up a nursing office in the village. Until the 17th century the place was called Erringen. The district of Westerringen also belonged to the Augsburg Cathedral Monastery. From 1806 the place belonged to the Kingdom of Bavaria . After that, Langerringen shared the history of its larger area. On April 17, 1945, American troops marched into Langerringen. In 1934 and 1935 the Singold and the Röthenbach were regulated. From 1939 until its dissolution in 1972, Langerringen belonged to the former district of Schwabmünchen .
