The Wieseth is a 44 kilometer long river in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia , which flows into the Altmühl from the right and west at Ornbau .
course
The Wieseth rises in Weinberg in the eastern Franconian height . It initially flows - measured as the crow flies - about 12 km to the southeast, whereupon it bends to the east at Wieseth. After a further 12 km as the crow flies, it joins the upper Altmühl opposite Ornbau from the right and, last but not least, southeast . In the middle and lower reaches it is very meandering .

- Erlbach , from the left and northwest to about 449 m above sea level. NN , approx. 4.6 km. Source at over 510 m above sea level NN at the edge of the forest northwest of Weinberg towards the Frankenhöhe service area of the A 6 .
- Leuckersdorferfeldgraben , from the right and west to over 445 m above sea level. NN below Leuckersdorf , approx. 0.8 km. Arises on the edge of the district road AN 36 at over 460 m above sea level. NN .

- Böckauergraben , from the right and west shortly after Böckau, approx. 0.8 km. Arises at about 455 m above sea level. NN on the street of Aichau .
- Speckfeldgraben , from the right and west, approx. 0.3 km. Arises at about 445 m above sea level. NN on the northern edge of the extinguishing wood to the hallway.
- Hechelbach , from the left and northeast to below 440 m above sea level. NN below Oberschönbronn shortly before the Wiesether settlement area Pfeiffhaus, approx. 2.9 km. Arises at about 475 m above sea level. NN west of Zirndorf .
- Deletebach , from the right and west between the Wiesether settlement area Pfeiffhaus and its Schlötzenmühle , with the longest upper course approx. 6.5 km. Arises on this at about 495 m above sea level. NN as Brechhausbach northeast of Zumberg , which continues as Ahornbach and then Lassenbach .
- Geißbach , from the left and northeast to below 435 m above sea level. NN across from Ammonschönbronn , approx. 1.5 km. Arises at about 475 m above sea level. NN on the road from Deffersdorf to Mittelschönbronn .
- Hörnleinsbach , from the right and west below Ammonschönbronn, approx. 1.3 km. Flows at over 460 m above sea level. NN a pond on the edge of the forest southwest of Ammonschönbronn.

Pflatterbach , from the right and southwest to over 432 m above sea level. NN in the village of Wieseth , with the longest upper course approx. 5.1 km. Arises as a Fetschendorfer Graben at less than 480 m above sea level. NN between Dentlein a.Forst and Fetschendorf . In the area of this inlet, the Wiesethlauf turns to the east.
Shortly before the Schnepfenmühle, the Wieseth splits into two arms. - ( Zimmerdorfer ) Dorfgraben , from the right and south-west opposite the Schnepfenmühle into the right dividing arm, approx. 1.5 km Arises at approx. 450 m above sea level. NN west of Zimmerdorf.

Rotbach , from the left and north into the left-hand ram at the Schnepfenmühle in the Wiesether district of Forndorf , approx. 3.6 km. Arises at about 465 m above sea level. NN a little west of Deffersdorf.
In front of the river bridge in Bruck, the two arms come together again. - Flinsbach , from the right and southwest to below 430 m above sea level. NN above Rohrbach , approx. 6.2 km. Arises below 490 m above sea level. NN in the forest between Schlierberg and Burk .
- Moosgraben , from the left and northwest to about 425 m above sea level. NN on the western edge of Bechhofen , approx. 4.2 km. Arises below 450 m above sea level. NN south of Sachsbach .
- Mühlgraben , from the right and southwest to about 424 m above sea level. NN near Rottnersdorf across from Bechhofen, approx. 5.5 km. Arises below 460 m above sea level. NN near Kaltenkreuth as a pond outlet and feeds many ponds.
- Kesselbach , from the right on the western edge of Heinersdorf , approx. 1.0 km. Wieseth parallel floodplain.
- Bronnenwasengraben , from the left and northwest to over 421.1 m above sea level. NN through Voggendorf , approx. 3.2 km. Flows at about 455 m above sea level. NN a pond on the northern edge of Bechhofen.
- Ellenbachgraben , from the right and southwest to 421.1 m above sea level. NN before Wiesethbruck , with the longest upper course Rohrbach approx. 6.4 km. The Rohrbach arises at about 455 m above sea level. NN in Heiligenholz, southwest of Birkach .
- → (exit of the Zecklgraben , Zegelgraben or Leugraben ), to the right into the floodplain before Taugenroth . This continues in an easterly meander course to the Altmühl feeder , while the river here will soon end on a northeast course, approx. 2.7 km. Demarcates the municipality boundary between Arberg and Ornbau .
Mouth of Wieseth about 200 meters after the Ornbauer Stadtmühle from the right and least of all in the southwest Altmühlberg , then from the same to the right of the Altmühlzuleiter branches.
