The Wieseth is a 44 kilometer long river in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia , which flows into the Altmühl from the right and west at Ornbau .

course

The Wieseth rises in Weinberg in the eastern Franconian height . It initially flows - measured as the crow flies - about 12 km to the southeast, whereupon it bends to the east at Wieseth. After a further 12 km as the crow flies, it joins the upper Altmühl opposite Ornbau from the right and, last but not least, southeast . In the middle and lower reaches it is very meandering .
