Wiesethbruck is a district of the market Bechhofen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is about four kilometers east of Bechhofen. It is twelve kilometers away from the city of Gunzenhausen . The Wieseth divides it into a northern part, historically called Großwiesethbruck, and a southern part, called Kleinwiesethbruck. The place lies on a flat hilly plain consisting of grassland with isolated trees and arable land. In the northwest the corridor is called Lämmerwasen, in the southwest Erl. Approx. 0.75 km to the northeast is the Rügholz.

The district road AN 57 leads to Voggendorf (1.1 km west) or to Arberg to state road 2222 (1.6 km south). Municipal roads lead to Mörlach to the district road AN 55 (1.8 km north) and to the Waffenmühle (1.2 km east).

history

From 1194 to 1287 the Counts of Truhendingen were feudal lords of the place. Like so many other places in Wiesethgrund, Wiesethbruck later had its own local nobility. Around the year 1300 "Ulrich von Wiesenbrugg" and his sons resided on a moated castle surrounded by the Wieseth . They were named as the feudal lords in the oldest Eichstättischen fief book . The monastery Heilsbronn acquired in 1194 there a tithe . In 1287 a basic gradient was added. In 1406 Hans Holzinger von Salach sold goods to the monastery. A change of rule took place as early as 1381. Niklas von Holzingen and his family had certain income in and around Arberg, which they received from the bishop as a fief. In 1455 Fritz von Halderstetten, known as Stettner, appears as the owner of Wiesethbruck.

Wiesethbruck was south of the Wieseth in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen and north of the Wieseth in the Fraisch district of the Eichstätt caste office Arberg-Ornbau . In 1732 the place consisted of 18 properties with 22 teams. At that time there was also a desolate castle, a communal shepherd's house and the evangelical chapel of St. John. The landlords were the Kastenamt Arberg-Ornbau (1 grinding mill, 1 farm with double crew, 3 farms, 2 farms) and the manor Wiesethbruck der Schenken zu Geyern (1 farm with double crew, 1 farm with baking rights, 1 farm with economy, 1 farm with forge, 2 goods with double crew, 2 goods, 3 Söldenhäuslein). Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

In 1806 Wiesethbruck came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict at the beginning of the 19th century, Wiesethbruck was assigned to the Bechhofen tax district . A little later the rural community of Wiesethbruck was formed, to which the villages Voggendorf and Waffenmühle belonged. It was subject to the Herrieden district court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 5.424 km².

In 1897 the Wiesethbruck volunteer fire brigade was founded.

As part of the regional reform , Wiesethbruck was incorporated into Bechhofen on October 1, 1971, with the exception of the weapon mill, which was assigned to Arberg .

In 1989 the old parish hall was demolished and a fire station with a hose drying tower was built in the same place. In the course of the land consolidation, a football field was created for the youth and the village square was redesigned. Since 1997, the Kerwa has been celebrated on the second weekend in August . In 2009/10 the bridge over the Wieseth was renewed, whereby the old foundations and bearings were preserved. The inauguration took place before the annual ecumenical open-air service on July 25, 2010.
