history
Röttenbach was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen . The village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties was held by the Eichstättische caste and city bailiff Ornbau . Towards the end of the 18th century the place consisted of 5 properties (1 mill, 1 courtyard, 1 courtyard with beer dispensing rights, 2 courtyards). There was also a chapel and a community pastor's house. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .
As a result of the community edict, Röttenbach was assigned to the tax district and rural community of Unterkönigshofen , formed in 1809 . In 1818 the place came to the newly formed rural community Birkach (renamed Heinersdorf in 1870 ). As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Röttenbach was incorporated into Bechhofen on July 1, 1971.
