history

Zotzneck on a map of the County of Nellenburg from the 18th century

Zoznegg is a clearing settlement from the High Middle Ages , it was first mentioned in 1329 in a document from the Salem Imperial Abbey . The core of the settlement can be found in the area of today's Hohenfelser Strasse and Stockacher Strasse. This is where the Schaffhausen - Augsburg trunk road ran , later referred to in the 17th century as the " ordinari Landstrasse ".

With the sale in 1465 , Zoznegg came to Austria from the Landgraviate of Nellenburg . As part of the Hindelwang office, Zoznegg was now part of the Nellenburg cameramen .

The media coverage due to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss circuit led to the 1806 Kingdom of Württemberg and 1810 for membership in the Grand Duchy of Baden . In 1843 the place became part of the Stockach district office, which was renamed the Stockach district in 1939 .

When the Stockach district was dissolved in the course of the Baden-Württemberg district reform in 1973 , the village became part of the Konstanz district .

On January 1, 1974, the community of Mühlingen was re-formed by the union of the communities of Mühlingen, Mainwangen and Gallmannsweil . Today's community was created on January 1, 1975 when this community was merged with Schwackenreute and Zoznegg.

Before 1900

Before 1821, private individuals had to hand in their mail at the Stockach post office themselves. In the 1850s the official messenger agency was closed due to the steadily increasing correspondence, its services were transferred to the post office and on May 1, 1859 the rural postal agency was brought into being. Five messenger districts were set up in the Stockach district. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday the messenger (messenger district No. I ) set off from Stockach via Mahlspüren and Winterspüren to Zoznegg and via Schwackenreute , Hoppetenzell , Zizenhausen and Hindelwangen back to Stockach. Items of mail that had been thrown into the Zoznegger letter tray were given the clock wheel stamp9 ” by the postman before being forwarded .
